I know what it’s like to struggle to love and accept who you are. To settle for unfulfilling relationships, friendships and overall life experiences. To know there is more potential inside of you, but not know how to access it.
I used to hold myself back from my wildest dreams, because “who am I to have that”?
I worried that my partners and friends would choose other people over me. I worried about what people thought of me in general and needed their constant approval. I often felt lost and insecure on the inside. It seemed that no matter what I did, it never felt like enough.
One day I hit a dead end, a space I thought I would never come out of… I was lonely. Lonely by myself, lonely in groups, everywhere really.
Reflecting I thought to myself, if I met me, would I even be my own friend?
At the time the answer was no! – going deeper into my loneliness, I discovered that this was because I didn’t even know who I was. A question that prompted me to find out…
So I started treating myself as a dear friend, I began opening spaces for self-acceptance, understanding and growth. I stopped trying to prove my worth and started to own it. Slowly my self-talk became loving and confident. I started to meet my own needs and go after what I wanted.
A long journey that has brought me to an elevated space of self-love and compassion.
This doesn’t mean I make no mistakes, infact this means I allow myself to make even more. I allow myself to be human, to grow and learn, to forgive and let go. Most importantly, I allow myself to reach for my dreams, to try new things and ultimately to be my authentic self. This mind-set has changed my life and continues to do so every day.

It’s something you’ve had all along, you just have to learn how to unlock the self-love and worthiness inside of you. For this I give you a wonderful self-love course, with all the steps and reflections I have made along my own journey. This paired with my extensive knowledge in self-care, mindful living and psychology I want to help guide you to unlocking true self-understanding. The place where self-love lies.

Structure and fee of this offering:
This course is done via Skype, Whatsapp or Telegram video call and consists of live one-on-one 1 Hour sessions. This can be broken down into a single, 1 Hour session a week making the program 7 weeks long or two, 1 Hour sessions a week, making the course 3.5 weeks long. Each course schedule will be personally organized to suit your daily routine.
This course is R2800 ($182), the payment can be split into two, making each payment R875. This cost includes many activities and techniques that will support your self-love journey. There will also be added guided meditations, daily journal prompts to allow for progress in-between sessions with affirmation prompts to match, as well as mindful self-care tips.
Contents of the course :
SESSION 1 – WHAT IS SELF-LOVE
- This introduction session begins with diving into what do we love about ourselves in this moment. – Within this, we will set out gratitude’s which will support your journey moving forward. Gratitude’s you can come back to whenever needed.
- We will process what is meant when we say “self-love”. Breaking down ideas and notions behind it.
- While reflecting on the main pillars of self-love. Finding integrative ways to process.
“Self-love is not simply a state of feeling good. It is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological and spiritual growth (the holistic system). Self-love is dynamic; it grows through actions that mature and nurture us. When we act in ways that expand self-love, we begin to accept our weaknesses as well as our strengths, we have less need to explain away our short-comings, we have compassion for ourselves as human beings and recognize that the struggling to find personal meaning, is more centred around accepting ourselves and acknowledging our own worthiness, while receiving fulfillment through our own efforts, than it is trying to prove something to others”.
SESSION 2 – SELF- TALK
- Self-love begins in the brain. – Through this we will process the importance of self-talk and how it all begins in childhood.
- We will work through a wonderful activity i call – Talk to a child activity. – We are going to shift our perspective to how we would talk to a child. It’s a fantastic practice to use to learn how to communicate to ourselves more effectively and openly.Here we will be acknowledging the inner child. A child that needs nurturance, love, protection and guidance
- This is Mindful Self talk and it is a daily practice of mine. It has helped me facilitate a healthy loving space for me, within myself. I just want everyone to be loving of their inner child. Which falls under a bigger umbrella, which is self-love.
SESSION 3 – HOW TO BE MORE SELF-COMPASSIONATE
- Here we will learn how to deal with the emotions that come up when growing into self-love, following these 4 steps:
- Recognizing that you are in NEED OF SELF-LOVE. We all are.
- Reflecting on the negative feelings that come up when we walk the path of self-love.
- To the challenge the negative story you hold about yourself.
- To finally decide what it would take too forgive yourself for the times you weren’t living in self-love.
- This transforms your relationship with yourself and promotes healthier ways of living. Self-compassion is much more effective in changing behaviour than trying to motivate yourself with shame and self-criticism. Shame and self-criticism lead to inner rebellion and giving up, while self-compassion gives you hope and helps you trust the process of change.
SESSION 4- UNDERSTANDING AND REDEFINING NEEDS AND WANTS
- We will process that its okay to be self-ish, especially when it comes to our inner needs.
- We will dive into unconscious vs conscious desires.
- Process how we can become more aware of needs and wants, done through the following steps:
- Actually defining what you do and dont want in life.
- Knowing your needs and wants come from a deeper desire to belong.
- Allowing daily time to reflect on why you want what you do.Integrating what it is in your life that is going to bring about true self-understanding and love.
SESSION 5 – BOUNDARIES
- Setting boundaries is an important part of establishing one’s identity and is a crucial aspect of mental health and well-being.
- We will process how boundaries are directly liked to your self-esteem. – Self-esteem is important because it heavily influences our choices, decisions and well-being in general.
- Within this we will process the different kinds of boundaries, creating the space for you to set meaningful healthy boundaries as we progress.
- We will reflect on the challenges we may face when setting boundaries. This will clarify why awareness and self-understanding is so key to our self-love.
SESSION 6 – SELF-CARE
- We will look at why good self-care is imperative on your self-love journey.
- To discover the power of self-care and see how it helps to restore balance within our daily lives.
- We will start a self-care vision board. A tool aimed to increase your self-care and self-compassion in a creative way. It involves a playful and intuitive search for potential self-care activities that, when completed, can serve as a visual reminder and motivator to balance your life with nurturance.
- We will dive into the understanding that discipline in also a form of self-love. Using journal prompts to support this space of dedication to the self.
SESSION 7 – FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness liberates. It’s a pearl of ancient wisdom with strong support in modern-day research. An extensive review of studies on forgiveness found that if we find it in ourselves to replace the unforgiving emotions with empathy and compassion, our bodies and minds heal. – Letting go means to be good to yourself.
- Here we will focus on a self forgiveness activity, to then extend that loving energy to the forgiveness of others.
- Within this be a life coach to yourself. Rather than punishing yourself with negative thoughts, gently guide yourself in a positive direction.
Forgiving yourself frees you from the nonconstructive self-condemnation.
SESSION 8 – A free 30 minute bonus session will be provided for anyone wanting further guidance, reflections or if any extra processing is needed.
I want to facilitate a strong base for your journey. Ultimately self-love is a life long commitment. Whenever we move away from this self–compassion, life has a funny way of alerting us and even sometimes forcing us to look within. I want you to know that I am here for you and want your inner safe space to bloom. So its important to remember that sometimes even when we fail that its okay. Through the failures we find lessons of deep meaning, through the successes we find blessings to support our healing.
