Did you know that we are constantly creating our realities ?? - Realities fueled by our emotions and perceptions.

I know for many it seems like a strange concept.. “how on earth do I create my reality”? Well our emotions determine how we perceive our world, how we remember it, and which decisions we take. –That is pretty much the basis of which we function as human beings, wouldn’t you agree?
It’s fair to say that our emotions need to be understood if we are to better make sense of our lives and why we do what we do.
If we are to better understand emotions, we need only to become aware of our emotional moods and reflect upon how they have influenced our behaviours.
REMEMBER: All emotion is energy and this energy can be positive or negative. These energies are alerting us everyday, guiding us towards things that make our identities feel good, and pushing us away from things that do not flow with our identities. Think about how your perception of anything can be altered just by these energies alone.
I believe that most of us allow our moods to control us and we might feel that we don’t have any choice in the matter. Also, I have noticed that when people are in “a mood”, they defend it strongly and believe it to be reality. This is the delusion of identifying with our emotions instead of listening to them. Its something many individuals, including myself get caught up in easily.
Only when the energies have changed or passed away may we then see things differently. So by recognizing that our emotional moods add to the creation of our perceptions, is a major step in being able to gain more control over what we do and say. To be more mindful of how we do what we do and why we say what we say.
Our reality can then be influenced greatly by our ability to emotionally regulate.

So how can we process this?
A key to managing our realities is self-talk, or just speech in general. Our mind/body is connected by emotional energies. They’re useful signals for us to understand what’s happening in the external world, with relation to our internal selves.
Speech can be a connector to this, like a bridge. Speech can either reinforce or diffuse any emotional energy that pops up. Self-talk is particularly helpful with this.
I like to see speech as a manifestor. As it brings through the emotions from our inner worlds to our outer worlds. “Often we will feel a emotion before expressing ourselves. Its the fuel. Some emotional sensation must arise in the body in-order for us to communicate our emotions over. Thus, being aware of this process allows us to somewhat create and adjust our reality.
Since our emotions can vary from moment to moment, our perceptions can be modified along with them, using speech.
So for example, instead of saying; “I am sick”, even if I am. Try say; “I am healing”. This brings about a completely different emotional energy, which brings forth a different perspective. “Remember those energies I was talking about”. Now I can choose a perspective that is in more support of the life we want to live. All by managing the way I identify with my emotions.
Another example, instead of saying; “ahh.. I have to go to work now”. Try saying; “I get to go to work now”. This notion brings about a sense of opportunity, instead of a sense of unwanted obligation.
WE ARE NOW LEARNING TO REGULATE OURSELVES. Wonderful isn’t it?
- To dive deeper into this intriguing topic, read my blog on : “Why mind matters most”, where i elaborate on the minds unconscious reaction states vs the minds mindful states.
In summary: Managing our internal and external speech is the perfect gateway to attending to our perceptions and thoughts. Things which are directly linked to our emotional selves.
By doing this you can manifest the kinds of energies (emotions) you want. You can create a reality filled with emotional regulation, mindful thoughts and perspectives, as well as deepened understandings of both inner and outer worlds.
Know that “when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change”. This cliché saying really holds some power now doesn’t it.
